GREEN AGENDA

The Green Agenda refers to the strategies, programs, actions and legal framework that have as a priority the protection, conservation, sustainable management and restoration of ecosystems and their biodiversity to ensure the conservation of biological diversity, the essential ecological processes and the tangible natural assets or resources such as water, soil, forestry, raw materials, germplasm, medicine, food, etc. Likewise, the intangible benefits: oxygen generation, carbon sequestration, climate regulation, scenic beauty, resilience to climate change, among others.

Among the most relevant official strategies for management, conservation and preservation of Ecosystems and Biodiversity duly supported are: El Salvador’s protected natural areas, conservation area, biological corridors, biosphere reserves and wetlands Ramsar sites.
